Innovation never stops. Neither do we.
Electronic products of the future
Every day, new buzzwords emerge: AI, LLMs, VLA, embedded AI… it can get overwhelming.
At Motsai, we understand these trends and we integrate them directly into the creation of your electronic products.
Our approach helps you stay ahead of technological changes and break into the market more effectively.
A rapidly evolving market
The global AI market, valued at $279 billion USD in 2024, is expected to reach $3,497 billion USD by 2033, with a 31.5% annual growth rate, driven by fast adoption across multiple industries.

Motsai pushes the boundaries of innovation by integrating embedded AI, microelectronics, and advanced wireless communication systems at the heart of its designs.
From SoC and Micro-FPGA miniaturization to smart energy management, every solution combines performance, reliability, and intelligent, preventive cybersecurity.
Embedded AI & Intelligent Vision
When creating your electronic product, we bring artificial intelligence directly onto the device. Our systems perform realtime data extraction and analysis, reducing latency and minimizing power consumption.
On the technical side, we integrate Neural Processing Units (NPUs), vision models like YOLO, and explore Vision-Language- Action (VLA) approaches. These architectures enable true onchip AI, supporting products that are more compact, efficient, and user-friendly.
Microsystems & SoC
One of Motsai’s strengths is miniaturizing performance. The microsystems we integrate into your products combine sensors, micromachines (MEMS), and embedded operating systems within extremely small volumes.
Thanks to System-on-Chip architectures, our solutions deliver computing power comparable to a full computer — concentrated into a few square millimeters — while operating efficiently on battery power.
Micro-FPGAs & ultra-fast processing
When speed is critical to your idea, we integrate Micro-FPGAs that are capable of processing data streams in nanoseconds. Technologies such as MIPI-CSI and DSI greatly benefit from these approaches.
These architectures ensure stronger operational security and seamless integration with host systems. Solutions are often handled through a flexible USB interface designed for high data throughput.
Advanced communication systems
For over a decade, Motsai has developed communication gateways for sectors including aerospace, healthcare, transportation, and heavy industry.
We master the trade-offs between power, range, robustness, and latency — while ensuring full compliance with RF emission and EMC standards. Our expertise relies on advanced technologies including software-defined radio (SDR) and multi-protocol radio chipsets.
Smart energy
We are obsessed with energy efficiency to help you build ultrahigh- performance products.
To achieve this, we integrate advanced battery-management systems, model chemical aging of cells, and optimize product safety and longevity. The result is safer, more durable, and more powerful devices — even in the most demanding environments.
Artificial intelligence & cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is one of our core priorities. We are leading a collaborative research project through 2029 with Soralink, Concordia University, University of Ottawa, and DRDC, supported by NSERC.
The goal is to develop intelligent, preventive cybersecurity for IoT and IoMT systems.
Our work explores immune system-inspired approaches, combining artificial intelligence, attack simulation, and autonomous defence. Learn more about the project:

Yes, our full company name is Motsai Research because our roots run deep in new technology and advanced architectures. We can take on projects starting from Technology Readiness Level 2 (TRL2), meaning the project is still at the conceptual stage, but there is a sense that it has solid fundamentals and the problem is well formulated. We can help clarify the problem and identify the technical risks. From there, we can plan a few experiments that will bring the Technology Readiness Level up to Level 3 (TRL3), which is a working proof of concept. This either validates or invalidates the underlying principles. Sometimes it brings out a few novel ideas or a combination of methods (such as sensor fusion). This is often the seed for a new patent or proprietary method to solve the problem.
Some companies come to us to explore completely new ideas that have not yet been demonstrated in the field. There is a risk that they won’t work, but the return if they do is substantial, so it is worth the investment. This leverages Motsai’s research and development services and expertise. We follow the established processes of literature review, calculations, modeling, and experimental validation to better understand the limits of the concept. We also document the results for later reuse.
No, we can work on novel methods derived from new research, devices, or physical understanding. This is how we support a few quantum-effect-based sensors and novel chips currently being developed. One of the main advantages for a customer able to support these new forays is the time-to-market advantage once the technology gains traction. We worked in haptics very early on, and it became widespread over the following 15 years. The same applies to specialized sensor fusion methods, MEMS sensors, and so on. This technological understanding brings visibility into the future. This work may often be ahead of the market, but with good results, it can help create the “overnight success” that was a decade in the making.
Part of the work we do in bringing up the Technology Readiness Level is to assess the feasibility and maturity of a technology. It is possible that a new technology works but does not bring enough benefit or the edge needed to succeed in the market. Starting a new company on a 20% improvement may not be a good approach. That same 20% improvement in a process for an established player in a field can translate into significant market share, so feasibility is a broad concept that needs to be studied alongside the business case.
Definitely. We are equipped with 3D printers, laser engraving machines, and miniature soldering equipment, and we work with more than a hundred partners around the world capable of microfabrication, precision machining, electronic assembly, chip mounting, X-ray inspection, laser ablation, rework, and more. We will happily push technology to its limits if it touches electronic systems and embedded processing.
The earlier we get involved, the more effective we can be in shaping the product architecture, reducing technical risk, and identifying the most promising path toward a viable product or system. Realistically, these days it is worth doing some preliminary work on your end using chatbots or agentic research to cover the bases. Just keep in mind that these models sometimes hallucinate and tend to tell you your ideas are the best in the world. Take the output with a grain of salt. That said, we bring to the analysis the years of experience we’ve had with startups and growing companies, and can anticipate the next milestone or highlight the risks. Many of our customers, notably in the startup ecosystem, began with a smart idea. Shaped over a few years of improvements and sweat equity, these projects grow into entire companies and take a good share of their market.
